Pilot Information

From July 29, 1976 to 1977 Thomas Aranda was appointed Special Assistant to the President for Hispanic Affairs at the White House.

From 1977-1978 he was  Special assistant, Inter-American Defense Board; member, Council on Inter-American Defense, and in 1978 was Legal counsel for the Arizona Republican Party.

In 1980, Aranda was a Member of President Reagan’s transition team, and in 1981, was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary (Uruguay), a position he held until November 14, 1985. (1)
