Retired Col. Robert B. Beveridge, 84, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 7, 2011. He was born Aug. 9, 1927 in Washington, D.C.

He was a 1953 graduate of the United States Military Academy. Bob was retired from the U.S. Air Force, where he was a fighter pilot and flew in Vietnam. He also served as an engineer and a diplomatic attache. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; and two daughters, Kara and Lisa, both of Reno. Memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

He was interred with military honors at West Point.
