Today in History – July 15, 1967 – T.H. Herndon ejects from F-100D #563275

15 July 1967 – T.H. Herndon was flying F-100D #563275. Enroute to a target of 150 Vietcong in a treeline, he was hit by 57mm AAA during a climb. He ejected and was recovered by USAF Helo. Herndon was serving with the 531st TFS out of Bien Hoa AB.

Paul E. Boehk “Headed West” on August 20, 2104.

Paul E. Boehk, 83, of Rockport, Texas, departed this life on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Paul was born in Maumee, Ohio, July 17, 1931, to Florence G. and Elmer E. Boehk. He served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, a CPA with Price-Waterhouse & Co., and lastly as the Controller of Champion Spark Plug Co. In addition to enjoying flying for the Air Force, he took pleasure in traveling, watching racing, playing card games, solving crossword puzzles, and most of all, loving and caring for his dogs.

Paul is survived by his wife of 58 years, Glenda; his children, daughter, Shelley, son, Scott, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
