Capt. Thomas J. Brennan, 77, of Glenview, passed away Oct. 22, 2012. Beloved husband for 47 years of Becky Brennan, nee Maxwell; loving father of Timothy (Deneen) Brennan, Christopher (Eva) Brennan and Alisa Brennan (fiancé Bob Gary); proud grandfather of Liam, Aidan, Nora, Drew and Grace Brennan; dear brother of Joseph (Sherry) Brennan, Mary Catherine (late Michael) Gallagher, Michael (Jacklyn) Brennan, and the late Eugene (Lois) Brennan Jr.; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and a neighbor to all.

Tom was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, class of 1957 “The Greatest.”

He achieved the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force; he was a dedicated Captain for Eastern Airlines for 26 years and finished his aviation career as a 1st Officer with United Airlines.

Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 26, at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 3535 Thornwood, Glenview where funeral Mass was held Saturday, Oct. 27. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Standing Tall Foundation, administered by Fr. John Smyth, 1100 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016 or the Kellogg Cancer Care Center, 1033 University, Suite 450, Evanston, IL 60201.
