On Thursday November 15, 1952 a  MiG-15 was shot down by a USAF North American F-86E Sabre pilot Glenn A. Carus. (1)

Glenn Carus who volunteered with the Smithsonian Institute was the project officer for the SSS on the Udvar Hazy F-100 foil. He was also a past President of the MOAA Falcons Landing Chapter.

Glenn A. Carus, Col USAF, Ret., “Headed West” on September 5, 2021.

Col Glenn Carus, Ret., served in the USAF from 1952-1982. He passed away shortly after the death of his wife Gene. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

Glenn was active in the SSS especially as project manager for the F-100 foil at the Udvar-Hazy Museum.
