Biography
I loved flying the F-100 but I had an even stronger affection for genetics. After I left the Air Force in May of 1960, I obtained a doctorate in genetics and then joined the faculty of Texas A&M University.
I retired as a Professor of Genetics in 1999 after being a member of the TAMU faculty for 32 ½ years.
Dr. Gary Hart is an expert in cloning in agriculture. While working at Texas A&M, he published 67 articles on genetics as the pertain to crop species, including genome research of wheat, sorghum, and soybeans. He is also credited with over 2900 citations of his work.
