15 July 1967 – T.H. Herndon was flying F-100D #563275. Enroute to a target of 150 Vietcong in a treeline, he was hit by 57mm AAA during a climb. He ejected and was recovered by USAF Helo. Herndon was serving with the 531st TFS out of Bien Hoa AB.

Joseph E. Hall, Capt USAF, “Headed West” on March 10, 2015.

NORFOLK – Joseph Edgar Hall, 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 10, 2015, less than two months after the passing of his beloved wife of 55 years, June. He was born in Harlingen, Texas.

He was a decorated Air Force veteran and retired United Airlines pilot. He is survived by his son, Matthew Hall and two grandchildren, Genki and Jumi Hall.

A memorial service [was] celebrated… on Saturday, March 21 in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. The family will receive friends at a visitation one hour prior (1-2 p.m.) in the chapel. He [was] entombed with [wife] June at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in New Mexico on Friday, March 27.
