F.K. “Mack” Sennett, Jr., 71, of Valparaiso, FL., passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, at his home with his family at his side.

Mack was born on January 14, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Frederick K. Sennett, Sr. and Margaret Sheller Sennett. Mack attended the University of Nebraska where he earned a degree in Business and Economics. Mack served his country in the US Air Force from 1958-1980, which is where he received his pilot training. While in the AF Mack flew the T-33, AT-33, F-100 and the A-7D. He completed one Viet Nam tour with 308 missions and was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross, a Bronze Star and 15 air medals. After leaving the AF Mack served as a Navy contract pilot for several years before joining Continental Airlines on the DC- 9’s and MD-80’s as a First Officer.

After his retirement, Mack devoted more time to his hobbies of tennis, skiing, fishing, history, travel, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Holland; one son, Chris Sennett, his wife Lucy; and granddaughter, Lola of Santa Rosa Beach, FL. One brother, Dave Sennett of Philadelphia, PA, ; two nieces, Tracy Sennett of Seattle, WA and Theresa Samit, her husband Harry, nieces and nephews Matthew, Jake, Anna, and Tommy of St. Paul, MI.; two stepsons, Jimmy Holland, his wife Jeni, grandchildren, Devin, Sarah, Gracie and Zoie Holland; Lee Holland, his wife Michele, grandchildren, Ella and Abbey Holland, all of Crestview, FL., and dear friends, too numerous to list. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Beverly Sennett.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at 152 Grandview Avenue, Valparaiso, FL 32580. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the University of Nebraska. Special thanks to Eglin AF Base Oncology and Covenant Hospice.
