I joined the Ohio ANG in 1971, and attended UPT at Reese AFB, graduating with Distinguished Honors in 1972. In 1973 I graduated from F-100 Combat School in Tucson, AZ, then flew the F-100 and A-7 with OANG.

I retired in 1991 with 20 years of service and became an American Airlines pilot from 1980- 2006 where I flew the B-727, MD-80, B-767. In 2006, I retired as an MD-80 Captain.

I Married my high school sweetheart Janie in 1980. She’s been with me since! Together we have 2 boys, each married, and 7 grandchildren!

  • 1972 UPT at Reese AFB, TX graduated with Distinguished Honors in 1972.
  • 1973 F-100 Combat School in Tucson, AZ
  • 1973-1991 166th Tactical Fighter Squadron, OANG (F-100, A-7)
