Dick Vogel was flying the F-4 in 1967 with the  497th Tactical Fighter Squadron, out of Ubon RTAB, Thailand when he was shot down and captured. He was a POW from 5/22/1967 to his release on 3/4/1973.  He had previously flown the F-100.
