George Dubick creates amazing diorama of Robin Olds last mission celebration.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]George Dubick, Regular SSS member says he “put the pilot figures and the Hardstand together as a “Diorama”.

I recently read “Fighter Pilot” by Robin Olds daughter and because I was already building a Diorama Display for the F-100 I contacted PROBUILT MODELS in Vietnam,  who had the “ACE ROBIN OLDS” figure of Robin Olds on the shoulders of to of his pilots after his final combat mission. The VIETNAM HARDSTAND and walls are from a British company, www.coastalkits.co.uk  You might be interested to know that even though the caption for Robin Olds states that his number of completed combat missions was “100” he actually had completed 150 missions, giving credit to his men for the 50 extra missions so he could stay with them longer!”

This is truly a labor of love for the Hun and those who flew it. Well done, George![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_masonry_media_grid grid_id=”vc_gid:1627310203837-558d7956-6df9-0″ include=”43761,43762,43763,43765,43766,43764″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
