Maj. (Ret.) Bruce H. Klein, 88, of Panama City, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
Bruce was born on January 13, 1935 in Melrose Park, IL. He attended the University of Washington, going on to serve in the United States Air Force. He retired from the USAF as a fighter pilot. Bruce was active in his church, Asbury Sunday School Class and his community, supporting such charities as Wounded Warriors Project and Meals on Wheels. He was a member of the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, Daedalians and CBS Association.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Grace Klein; and son, Mark Klein.
Left to treasure Bruce’s memory is his wife of 45 years, Trina Bass Klein; daughters, Deonne Flowers (Tracy), Kristi Rhodes (Brett), Kerrie Lynn Wilton (Guy Harris) and Leslie Frye (Jim); son, Cary “Chip” Dozier (Sara); 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Panama City. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
