1st Lt. Benjamin Gaines Lang served with the 615th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 401st Tactical Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force at Phan Rang AB. His tour in SEA began on 8 September 1970.
Lang was born in Greensboro, NC, and then became a native of Gainesville, FL. He was 25 years old and married.
On a mission over Binh Thuan Province, South Vietnam, Lang’s F-100D (#553550) was hit by hostile fire and crashed. His body was recovered. Benjamin is buried at Fain Cemetery in Calhoun, GA.
