7 January 1968 – Major D.P. Wright was serving with the 612TFS out of Phu Cat in January of 1968. On the 7th of that month, he set out on a strafing mission to find an enemy gun position in SVN. His aircraft was hit in the left fuselage. He ejected and was rescued by an Army helo. D.P. suffered minor injuries.
