David M. Stroup, 82, of Belleville, Ill., born Wednesday, March 15, 1933, in Jonesboro, Ill., died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at Cedarhurst of Shiloh in Shiloh, Ill.
David was a fighter pilot for the United States Air Force for 27 years, serving during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He later became a real estate developer in the Belleville area.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Doris, nee Schwuchow, Stroup; parents, David M. and Alma, nee Fullenwieder, Stroup; and sister, Barbara Biggs.
Surviving are his children, David “Trey” (Tammera) Stroup, III of Millstadt, Ill., Scott A. (Dr. Camelia Bui) Stroup of Littleton, Colo., and Melinda “Mindi” (Stephen) Carter of West Wickham, England; and granddaughters, Katherine Stroup, Josephine Stroup, Elizabeth Stroup, Victoria Carter, and Sophie Carter.
