They say that there is no such thing as an old, bold pilot, but Mick Greene’s new autobiography proves “they “ are wrong. I know Mick and know that; 1) he is old–a month or so older than I–and 2) had to be bold (read that “had balls”) to be a first generation Misty FAC flying over North Vietnam. But I learned a lot about Mick from the book that I didn’t know. That he was a Naval Academy graduate, for example, or that he earned a Masters Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from AFIT and was a test pilot at Kirtland AFB.
“The Life and Adventures of an Old Bold Pilot is now available at Amazon. It promises to be a great read for our members.
