“Paul Douglas Strahm was serving his country during the Vietnam War when he gave his all in the line of duty. He had enlisted in the United States Air Force. Entered the service via Reserve Military. He began his tour on December 28, 1967. Strahm had the rank of First Lieutenant. Service number assignment was 3153735. Attached to 7th Air Force, 3rd Tactical Fighter Wing, 90th Tactical Fighter Squadron.” (1)

1Lt Paul Douglas Strahm was flying F-100 #56-3429 suffered engine failure during a close air support mission near Bien Hoa AB in Vietnam. He was killed in action.

Paul is buried at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, OH, is honored on the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial in Washington DC. His name is inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 34e, Line 50.
