The Super Sabre Society celebrates the official adoption of the United States of America’s new flag, on June 14, 1777. The U.S. Army also has adopted this date as its official birthday, with the establishment of the American Continental Army on June 14, 1775.
We will spend a few additional seconds looking at Old Glory waving atop that pole in front of your local school or post office…that familiar flag, one our men and women in uniform have carried with them into battle since the humble beginnings of our great nation.
While we have added stars to that original flag as our country has expanded, the ideals it represents never fade – courage, liberty and loyalty
