Rod’s son Shawn sent information about his father’s passing on June 19, 2022.
Rod flew the F-100 D& F models in 1958 with the 416th Tactical Fighter Squadron out of Misawa AB, Japan, and in 1960 with the 613th Tactical Fighter Squadron, England AFB, LA. In 1963, he continued to fly the D&F models with the 80th Tactical Fighter Squadron out of Itazuke AB, Japan.
Rod most recently lived in Monument, Colorado.
