5 May 1969 – A USAF North American F-100D-70-NA Super Sabre, #56-3214, one of two Super Sabres from the 452nd TFS/81st TFW out of RAF Lakenheath, was on a gunnery mission over Holbeach Range, Cambs., UK. 15 September 1967 – Major A.E. Munsch is serving out of Bien Hoa AB, Vietnam with the 510th TFS. On a mission over SVN, his F-100D #552904 is hit by gunfire, and Munsch is forced to eject. He is rescued by the VNAF and suffers minor injuries.
