An Associate SSS Member, Jim flew west on 18 NOV 2015, at the time a resident of Manteca, CA. There was no official obituary, but here’s a bit of info on him and his unique history with the Super Sabre Society. When Original Editor & Publisher of our journal, Ron Standerfer, was ramping up a process to produce and publish “The Intake,” he learned that Charter Member Ben Allen had a brother (Jim) who was in the printing business. So, Ron contacted Jim Allen and set up a SSS relationship with him to be our “Printing Consultant,” and he later became an Associate Member of our organization. Although not recognized as such on the masthead of each issue of “The Intake,” Jim was considered a silent partner on the Intake staff, and we are grateful for his service as an on-call consultant, from the very beginning of our journal until his passing, now over a year ago.
