The Pentagon approved a Fly-Over for Lyle on April 6th, 2015. The Maryland Air National Guard will be flying the A-10 Warthog
SuperSabre Society member Lyle L. Beckers, 81 left us on September 26th. No doubt his skills developed with the sometimes temperamental F-100 helped him score two Mig Kills in early and late while Commanding the 35th TFS.

Lyle passed on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014, in Gainesville, Georgia. His Memorial is at this link in Napa Valley
Born on Aug. 23, 1933, in Gregory, South Dakota, Lyle had a distinguished military career as a fighter pilot and squadron commander of the 35th TFS, U.S. Air Force. He earned two Silver Stars as the result of shooting down two Russian MIGs, and did three tours in Vietnam, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
Lyle began a second career as a real estate developer, with ventures in Las Vegas and the Napa Valley. Lyle relocated from Napa to Gainesville in 2008 to live with his daughter.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Jeannie; three children, Patti Latimer of Sacramento, California; Lisa Beckers of Skokie, Illinois; and Laurice Repke of Gainesville, Georgia; dear siblings Mary Jensen, William Beckers and Helen Hennessey; and five grandchildren.
