F-100 Super Sabre flew most missions in Vietnam
The last combat F-100 departed Vietnam in 1971, after nearly eight years of combat. Super Sabres flew 360,283 combat sorties. Ken Miles Headed West
Major General Kenneth P. Miles passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014, from prostate cancer, in his Palm Desert, Calif. home with his loving wife, Karen and close family members around him. Ken Miles, an 86-year-old Palm Desert resident, died at home after a battle with prostate cancer, family friends said.

Air National Guard dedicated Shepperd Hall in 2010
The Air National Guard unveiled the newest addition to its readiness center during a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony here today.
The new addition is named “Shepperd Hall” in honor of retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Donald W. Sheppard, a former director of the Air National Guard.
